Screw Pile Foundations in Harrison Hot Springs & Agassiz
Harrison Hot Springs sits at the southern end of Harrison Lake, and Agassiz is the neighbouring town in the District of Kent, about 8 km to the south on the north bank of the Fraser River. We install Postech helical screw pile foundations in both, for cottages, cabins, decks and homes, including lakeside and hard-to-reach lots.
A Harrison Hot Springs client told us their cottage "hasn't moved a millimeter in two winters."

Between the lake and the river
Harrison Lake is a glacier-fed lake about 60 km long. The Harrison River leaves its southern end and runs roughly 16.5 km to the Fraser River, and the Miami River flows through the village itself. Lots here sit between water and mountains, which means slopes, a high water table in places and, on the Fraser side, low-lying floodplain.
Ground conditions follow the setting. Rocky terrain is common around Harrison, where pilot-pointed piles penetrate with precision. Near Agassiz the soils can be organic or peaty, and piles pass through the soft layer to stable ground below. Piles also go well below the frost layer, and the thermal foam inside the shaft is designed to stop frost heave.
Many cottages and cabins here are tucked into lots where a concrete truck cannot easily go. Compact equipment and no concrete delivery make piles a practical choice, and the work is quick, which matters for seasonal buildings and short building windows.

Harrison feedback
We do not yet have a Harrison or Agassiz project gallery on this site. What we have is the feedback of a Harrison Hot Springs client, quoted below: a professional job from start to finish, a thorough engineering report and a cottage that has not moved.
“Professional from start to finish. The engineering report was thorough and the installation was surgical. Our cottage hasn't moved a millimeter in two winters.”
